Ferrari to invest €100 million in the Ferrari Land theme park at PortAventura
The Ferrari team will construct the Ferrari Land theme park in PortAventura, a project that will be operative in 2016 and will involve an investment of over €100 million. The Prancing Horse has its own fun fair, Ferrari World, in Abu Dhabi and the Port Aventura project will be the first with these characteristics in Europe.
Ferrari Land will occupy an area of 75,000 m2 and will have attractions for all ages. Notable rides include the highest and fastest vertical accelerator in Europe and a roller coaster that will simulate driving one of its race cars. The thematic area will also include the first Ferrari themed hotel, 5 star, with 250 rooms, restaurants and areas with race car driving simulators.
The arrival of Ferrari strengthens PortAventura’s strategy to continue –year after year– creating new international references to position the park and Salou as the best family leisure destination in Europe, as one of the most valuable brands in family tourism.
