GOVERNING BODIES
The Salou Municipal Tourist Board is an independent body that reports to the Salou City Council and is charge of managing the welcome and housing of tourists and visitors, and is responsible for promoting the municipality as a tourist destination.
The Board of Directors, chaired by the Councillor of Tourism for the Salou City Council, is comprised of members from the different political parties that are represented on the Salou City Council in the municipality, and representatives from the private sector and from Port Aventura.
The Salou Municipal Tourist Board also has a Promotion Committee, on which the top representatives from the municipality’s tourist corporate world are guests: tourist accommodation, travel agencies and entertainment and leisure businesses. The Promotion Committee is basically responsible for the study and analysis of the foreign promotion functions that are driven forward from the Board.
