The church was built in 1766 by the fishermen’s guild. It was originally a very humble chapel, with a single nave and a Baroque bell gable with classicist lines. Between 1930 and 1950 the church was enlarged. The side naves were raised, as well as the transept and the dome, as you will see it today. It’s well worth taking a look inside at the murals painted by Lluís M. Güell between 1954 and 1966, and the paintings in the baptistery, created by contemporary artist Josep Grau Garriga in 1964.
