Police station on Llevant Beach

In front of the Jaume I Monument on Jaume I promenade you’ll find the local beach police station, which is staffed from 8.30 am to 6 pm by national police officers working with the local "Mossos d'Esquadra" police force to serve members of the public looking for information about the town or wishing to reporting complaints.The station is open 24 hours a day from 1st June to 30th September and is accessed via an intercom at the beach police station gate that is connected to the local police station.

Rescue and lifeguard service on Salou’s beaches

Salou’s beaches have a continuous manned health and safety, surveillance, rescue and first aid service on Llevant, Ponent, Capellans, Llarga and Cala Crancs beaches. There are also daily rounds and support as required at Cala Llenguadets, Penya Tallada, Cala Font and Cala Vinya.

This service is operational from the week before Easter up until 15th October.

Identification wristbands

For families that would like them, Salou provides identification wristbands to help prevent children from getting lost and to help relocate them if they do - whether on the beach or in the town.

These wristbands have a space for writing parents’ names and contact telephone numbers using indelible ink. Once fastened, the wristband can’t easily be removed.

The bracelets are available free of charge to tourists at the beach police station, rescue and lifeguard areas, the Salou Tourist Board and at Europa Square (Tourism Office).
