What is it:
This July, Salou invites you to travel back in time to the year 1194, commemorating the granting of its Charter of Population by King Alfonso II of Aragon. This historic document was essential for the organization and development of the municipality, establishing a weekly market and assigning the port and surrounding lands with the aim of repopulating and socially and economically structuring the area during the Reconquista.
The event will take place at Plaça Francesc Germà and the adjacent area of the old Port de Salou, an iconic setting that connects us directly with our medieval past. During the celebration, you can enjoy a craft market where local artisans will offer traditional products. Additionally, medieval gastronomy will be available, allowing you to taste dishes inspired by recipes from the era and immerse yourself in the flavors of history.
This event is a unique opportunity to relive the origins of Salou and celebrate its rich cultural heritage in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere. Don't miss this date with history!
