SALOU, SPORTS TOURISM DESTINATION
On the Ponent Beach, next to the port, there is the nautical base dedicated to sailing activities. With a total area of 300 m2, it is divided into different functional spaces: Two dressing rooms, services, storage, a sailing classroom and an information centre.
These facilities were the headquarters for the sport disciplinary committee for Dinghy sailing during the 2018 Mediterranean Games.
Salou was certified for Dinghy sailing because of its Nautical Club’s facilities. The Club, with a small-sized port, has a wide-variety of equipment, facilities and services. It also has a fitness room, swimming pool, exhibition hall, sailing school, restaurants and is home to various regattas.
