Costa Daurada

With 81 kilometres of coastline, the Costa Daurada is an ideal destination for holidays or getaways all year round. It has an excellent climate that allows you to enjoy the coastline bathed by the Mediterranean practically all year round. This area is a territory rich in historical heritage, with monasteries founded during the medieval period and towns with a rich heritage such as the medieval Montblanc or Falset, or the modernist Reus.

Another coastal town is Cambrils, which has a rich and varied gastronomic offer, with restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, and is therefore considered the Gastronomic Capital of the Costa Daurada.

The port, which preserves its seafaring style with 35 fishing boats, and the old town centre, where the streets are full of life and the balconies are decorated with flowers, stand out. Enter the Agro shop, where you can buy the DO Siurana olive oil, awarded as the best olive oil in Spain. Cambrils is also certified as a Family Tourism Destination for its specialised family offer. Stroll around Cambrils, through the old town and along the beach, which has 9 km of coastline and 23 km of cycle lanes.

In addition, Vila-seca, the beach of La Pineda on the Costa Daurada is a welcoming place, with attractive landscapes; sun, sand and blue sea. La Pineda, with its promenade of almost three kilometres, is a privileged beach on the Costa Daurada with a Blue Flag, awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.

Vila-seca has the seal of quality as a Family Tourism Destination, a mark of specialisation awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya to destinations that are particularly sensitive to family tourism. La Pineda Platja is a tourist town that offers a wide range of accommodation, restaurants, shops and services prepared with quality facilities and resources necessary to receive families.

The environmental richness of the Costa Daurada makes it particularly interesting to discover it through the various hiking routes, cycling and mountain biking circuits, not forgetting golf, which can be played throughout the four seasons of the year.

The Costa Daurada is a great destination for gastronomy lovers: fish from the Mediterranean Sea or meat from the inland territory are some of the ingredients that appear in many recipes. As well as the wines from five designations of origin: DOQ Priorat, DO Montsant, DO Conca de Barberà, DO Tarragona and DO Penedès.
