The beaches in Salou have been awarded different certificates. These are environmental, holding UNE EN ISO 14,001 for all of its nine beaches and coves, and related to the quality of their waters, sands and services, with the Blue Flag for Llevant and Capellans Beaches, and UNE 187,001 and Q for Ponent and Llevant Beaches.

Every year the Salou City Council or its competent institutes establish different objectives and indicators as they strive for continuous improvement on different issues related to the beaches of Salou. These include respect for and conservation of nature and the environment, increasing and improving services for users, planning the management of issues related to this resource that is one of the greatest assets as a tourist destination and its promotion...

Objectives cut across all departments that are involved in managing the beaches and that can have an impact, from replanting native species and removing invasive species to publishing a promotional brochure on the beaches and their services.
