What is it:

The Diversity Salou Association is a new association dedicated to advocating for the rights and interests of the LGBTI community, with the mission of contributing to building a more respectful, inclusive, and diverse society.

The association has already begun working to gain visibility at international commemorations and on Pride Day, with plans already underway to organize an inclusive Pride Day party on Passeig Jaime I.

Salou will host, for the first time, the Proud of Salou, a diversity celebration that will be held on the evening of Sunday, June 29th, in Plaça des Comunidades Autónomas, as part of LGBTQI+ Week.

The Proud of Salou is an initiative of the Diversity Salou Association and the Regidoria d'Igualtat, and its objective is to offer a recreational and participatory space to celebrate pride, respect and coexistence, all claiming the rights of people from the LGTBIQ+ community.

The central act will include the participation of the recognized actor and imitator from Tarragona Josep Ferré, connected by the six funny and certain imitations of collaborators of the program Sálvame that was broadcast on Telecinco and in the second part of the program Todo Es Mentira by Risto Mejide. With a great ability to capture gestures and manners of faith, Ferré has parodied characters such as Lydia Lozano, María Patiño, Miguel Bosé, Terelu Campos, Belén Esteban, Xavier Garcia Albiol, Anabel Pantoja, Maria Teresa Campos, Tamara Falcó or Kiko Matamoros and has become a highly esteemed figure in the public thanks to his talent and sense of humor.

Josep Ferré will be in charge of offering the prize and offering a spectacular carregat of humor, energy and many rituals. Next, the party will continue with live music from a DJ, who will liven up the atmosphere and make everyone dance.

In addition to this great party open to everyone, Salou maintains its commitment to equality and LGBTI visibility with other institutional events and cultural, social and educational activities throughout the LGTBIQ+ Week, which will be announced soon.

With Proud of Salou, the municipality reaffirms its commitment to being a safe, inclusive and respectful space for everyone, where diversity is not only respected, but also celebrated.
